Josh Gross is a multifaceted pain in the ass best described by sound bytes of differing sources.
By answering machine: Ace reporter, produced playwright, and international rock and roll superstar.
By literary analysis: A frenetic enthusiast of all things communicable, Josh Gross emanates chutzpah into all he endeavors despite ardent detractors
By right-wing bloggers: A moron.
By the dean of the PCC English Department: The pride of the school.
Nothing interesting to see here. Move on.

26 year old English major, Journalist and avid music lover/hater. If you shove your way in front of her at a concert she will put gum on you. Originally from the South. Considers herself to be linguistically superior while liberally applying terms such as “Y’all” and “Fixin’”. Gets guns and cameras confused. Aspires to one day be married to Stephen Colbert and to take over the Rolling Stone and turn it into as respectable a publication as the Rearguard. Can be found ogling the baristas at any Stumptown location or lurking around campus in a black jacket looking generally grumpy.
Laura Pieroni is a bright and shiny young woman working on her bachelor's in English. In her spare time she runs PSU's alternative literary magazine Pathos Lit Mag and plays bass in an all-femme rock band called The Fakers. And because writing for The Rearguard doesn't pay the bills, she works as a personal assistant in one of the offices on campus as well as hostessing at a hip restaurant in NE. She plans to graduate in spring and to earn her master's in English with a focus on publishing.
Graduate student of publishing and lifelong writer. Jay spent a lot of
time working in restaurants and bars before returning to school. Now
he spends most of his time daydreaming, but hopes to someday put that
imagination to good use.
While waiting to speak to an advisor during my orientation session at PSU, I decided to go through the hallways and pick up a copy of every student/independent publication I could find. When I got home, I sat down and read all of them, non-stop, one after the other. After I was done, I stuck the Rearguard on my coffee table, the Willamette Week on the back of my toilet, and the Spectator in the bottom of my bird cage.
A fourth year graphic design and philosophy major, Emma spends her extra time volunteering for multiple committees on campus, assisting the debate team, and playing drums for "The Fakers."
